The principal of The School Room Studio is Lee Garland, a hugely successful magazine photographer. Lee started his career whilst at Nottingham University, as the Photographer at Impact Magazine where he was nominated Best Student Photographer 2002 by The Independent. From there he relocated to Manchester and became the Chief Photographer & Picture Editor at Concept For Living, Spaces & Zero Magazines. He has also had his work published in The Guardian G2 & Weekend Magazine, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, Blueprint, The MEN, Asian News & Newsweek.
Lee has maintained a portfolio of big name corporate clients throughout, including Manchester United, Starbucks, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Silverjet and worked for many major advertising agencies including Cohn & Wolfe, Colman Getty, Austin Smith Lord & Weber Shandwick.
Lee is a Visiting Lecturer to The Manchester College, teaching on the Photography & Digital Imaging course.
